Gillham Lake is a great campground for RVers, families, and adventurers alike. Located near the reservoir, the campground is set up along the river below the spillway, offering great views of the river and surrounding area. Its a great spot for fishing, canoeing, and swimming, and the rapids provide a calming soundtrack at night. The campsites are mostly unpaved and have grills, firepits, and metal tables, making it easy to level your RV or set up a tent. The campground also offers basketball goals, horseshoe pits, and a playground (currently closed due to C19). The bathrooms are single use and are cleaned daily, and there is one water station to share between campsites. Cell service is limited with T-Mobile, but Verizon coverage is good. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bugs and two of my family members got ticks while staying here. However, the camp host was amazing and the hot showers did not disappoint! Be sure to bring a Y-connector and extra hose, as youll need to share the water faucet with your neighbor.
