Rising Star in Grady, Arkansas is a well-maintained, tranquil campground that sits right on the Arkansas River. The campsites are all well-spaced and the covered cement picnic tables and fire pits make for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. The 50/30 amp electric hookup, water, and dump station are all available and in good working condition. The host is friendly and helpful, and the recently built ADA-compliant bathrooms and showers are very clean. The campground also offers a shaded playground with a large mowed grassy area perfect for outside play and games. Occasionally, barges may pass by on the river, but they are not too disruptive and can add to the scenic views during a beautiful sunset. While the campground is a bit out of the way, the entrance on Blankenship Road is well-maintained and accessible to most campers. All in all, Rising Star is a hidden gem that is definitely worth visiting.
