This campground is a great place to stay for a relaxing getaway. All 23 sites are full hookup, with level pads, metal picnic tables, fire rings, lantern poles, and trash cans. The park offers a store with firewood and boat, bike, and kayak rentals, as well as a dock with fishing boat rental and bait. There is also a playground, recreation field, and a historical ferry crossing exhibit. The sites have great views of Ramon Lake, and wildlife sightings of bald eagles, white-tailed deer, and grey squirrels are common. The bathrooms and showers are heated and clean, and AT&T service is available. There is no park Wifi and the water pressure is low, but the sites are well lit by street lights and the park is well maintained. The only downside is the road noise from Highway 67.

From The Campground

Moro Bay State Park is a great getaway that offers lots of privacy and some of the best cabins in the state. Fishing is popular year-round where Moro Bay and Raymond Lake join the Ouachita River. The park facilities include 23 Class AAA campsites, trails, picnic sites, pavilion, playground, and the Moro Bay Ferry exhibit. A marina with boat and slip rentals, gas and a store make it a good spot for boaters, but even in peak season, it never feels crowded. Each of the park’s five, fully equipped cabins features two bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, and screened deck and outdoor living area overlooking Moro Bay. Interpretive programs are offered seasonally.
