Copper Johns Resort in Lakeview, AR offers a range of accommodations including cabins and full hookup campsites. During our stay in December, all of the hookups were in good working condition and we enjoyed a quiet stay. The resort is located in a lovely area near the river, with nearby restaurants and a great fly shop (not affiliated with the resort). However, there are some drawbacks such as no on-site management, no propane, no laundry, and no trash cans throughout the resort; trash must be hauled to the single onsite dumpster. The upkeep of the premises is also somewhat lacking, with mowing and leaves not always well-maintained and open potholes. Junker campers are allowed in and internet is not available throughout the resort. Despite these drawbacks, the resort offers beautiful views of the White River and great trout fishing. The resort accommodates mixed-use, with long-term and weekend campers mingling with cabin guests. Overall, we would recommend Copper Johns Resort for those seeking a quiet riverside getaway with access to beautiful views and recreational fishing opportunities.
