. This campground is a great spot for a peaceful getaway! Located off a 3 mile gravel road, the campground is situated on the top of a ridge overlooking Lake Ouachita, providing a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains. There are a few campsites with parking, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and a restroom. Unfortunately, there is some broken glass around the picnic area, so please be sure to pack out all of your trash. The campground is free and is a great spot for hiking and primitive camping. The roads can be narrow, so be sure to drive carefully. There is also a cool spring nearby to cool off on hot days. Be aware that the restroom is a portapotty, and that there may be law enforcement harassing campers based on profiling. Despite these issues, the campground is a great spot for a peaceful weekend away!
