Lake Fort Smith State Park is an amazing outdoor experience with the comforts of home. The park is surrounded by lush forests and the lake is a stunning backdrop for the campground. There are plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained, from renting boats at the marina to taking a dip in the pool with a waterslide. There are also plenty of hiking trails in the area, including the Ozark Highlands Trail which is located directly behind the campsites on the lake side. The campsites are all RV only with water and electric, although most sites also have a tent pad. The facilities are all modern and well maintained, with spotless bathrooms and a great pool area. If youre looking for a peaceful and family-friendly outdoor experience, Lake Fort Smith State Park is the place to go.
