Shoal Bay Campground is a great place to go for a weekend getaway. It is run by the Corps of Engineers and is located next to Lake Dardanelle. The campground has large, well-spaced campsite pads and is reasonably priced. It is well maintained and has paved roads, two shower houses with flush toilets, picnic shelter, two boat ramps, small swim beach and playground. There is also a bait shop located just outside the campground entrance. There are plenty of areas for bank fishing and a couple of hiking trails. Cell phone service is good and there are 9 or 10 over the air TV stations.
