Jacksonport State Park is a hidden gem situated on the banks of the White and Black Rivers. This campground is well maintained and has spacious sites with plenty of grass, trees and open areas. All sites have water and electric hookups and a dump station on the way out of the park. AT&T coverage is surprisingly good here, generally between 2-4 Bars of 5Ge service, with speeds up to 8 MB/s. Verizon service is also great, and there are 3 OTA television channels. The sites are large, level and spacious with a view of the river, and are suitable for satellite dishes. There is a swimming beach, boat ramp and picnic pavilion, as well as a Visitors Center with a museum about local history. The bath house is clean, but the showers were being refurbished when we stayed. This is a great spot for a day or two trip, and there is plenty to see and do just a short drive from the park.

Jacksonport State Park is a historic river port that offers visitors a chance to learn about the area's past. The park features a restored 1872 courthouse that now serves as a museum, as well as 20 Class A campsites with 50 amp service, a swimming beach, pavilion, picnic sites, a playground, and the half-mile Tunstall Riverwalk. Visitors can enjoy interpretive programs by park interpreters and exhibits in the courthouse.
