Camp Robinson is a training center and is home to the Arkansas National Guard Force along with other military teams. It consist of 26 small arms ranges and premier training centers. The Camp played a very important role in various wars and continues today for training. It also housed a large German prisoner of war facility. You will find a nine hole golf course, a PX and a fine Arkansas National Guard Museum. The campground offers full hookup sites with concrete pads for parking and overlooks a lake from the hill. There are no additional toilets, laundry or showers, so you must be self-contained. The price to stay is very affordable, but the sites are old, run-down, and difficult to access. The check-in process is strange and can be frustrating. There is no lighting for nighttime dog walking, so be sure to bring a flashlight. The campground is conveniently located in the heart of Little Rock, providing easy access to a variety of attractions, museums, shopping, and dining.
