Lake Dardanelle State Park in Arkansas is a beautiful campground with plenty of room to stretch out and plenty of fun for the whole family. The park has a visitors center, a gorgeous lake, top of the line facilities, beautiful campsites, a playground, a boat ramp, and full hookup sites. Unfortunately, there is a nuclear power plant in view from some of the campsites. The bathrooms have individual unisex rooms, but there is not any good place to put your dry stuff while you shower. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the sites are spacious and shaded. The park also has a late check-in box in case you arrive after hours without reservations. Although the nuclear power plant may be an eyesore, the park itself is amazing and worth the visit.

The park offers a variety of amenities and activities, including meeting rooms, restrooms, a sport fishing facility, visitor center, open pavilion, solo and tandem kayak rentals, and more. The park also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as lake cruises, slithering snakes, and pioneer play. The Meadowbrook Self-Guided Trail is a popular hiking trail in the park.
