The sites are equipped with covered concrete picnic tables, fire pits, and metal tables for cleaning fish or other preparations. Though only 30amp power is available, the site gives a lot of room for accommodating childrens activities like throwing a ball around. While alligators may be present in the lake, visitors rarely see them due to the cooler temperatures during the day. However, sightings of armadillos and raccoons are common. The bathroom and shower facilities are only around 200meters from most sites. The water pressure is not very strong but adequate. The roads leading up to the park may be narrow and lack adequate shoulders, and driving may be slow since a lot of them pass through farming areas where slow-moving tractors are prevalent. The sites need to be cleared of tree debris regularly. The park has no laundry facilities and no swimming allowed. Visitors can use the convenient dump station located outside of the check-in station. Some sites might be tricky to back up into and may have low hanging branches, but most are spacious and comfortable. The campground has a boat ramp that can hold numerous boats/trucks at once, which may be busy on the weekends. The parks natural surroundings and beautiful views make it a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
