What others are saying about this campground
Lake Compounce Campground is a large family-centered campground located in Bristol, CT. The sites are well-maintained and include nice pull-throughs with water, electricity, and cable. Although there are no full hookups, the dump station is conveniently located for all sites. The utility connections are centered in the pull-throughs, so it is advised to check if your cables and hoses are long enough or park as far forward as possible. The campground is a good overnight stop, as its easy to move in and out and its only a 15-minute drive off the highway. The campground features areas in both wooded and open spaces. There were a lot of tent campers, and the RV sites were spacious. The gate has a 24-hour guard, which provides some added peace of mind. The staff at the office was a helpful resource for checking in and getting directions around the campground.
