What others are saying about this campground
This campground offers a wide range of amenities, including a playground, pool, pond, paddle boat, and game room. The lady in the office is helpful and pleasant. The sites offer water and electricity (30 amps) but no sewer, making it expensive for what you get. Signs leading to the park are few, so you must be attentive to find it. The showers are pay-per-use. The chairs around the pond were broken. There is a honey wagon for a fee or you can use the dump station. There is also a fee for visitors to stay longer than 29 minutes. Unfortunately, the honey-sucker can cause a mess that needs to be cleaned up.

From The Campground
Nothing says cozy camping quite like Markham Meadows Campground in central Connecticut, a dazzling, family-friendly destination in a lovely part of New England. This inviting RV park between Hartford and New London is ideal for East Hampton campers looking to get away and relax, with nearby forests, rivers, and parks to explore. The campsites at Markham Meadows Campground are scattered throughout the forested park, with a distinctly rustic feel and plenty of tree cover to keep campers out of the sun. Sites come with water, sewer, and electricity. Guests can also make use of cable TV and wireless internet access offered on-site. Restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities can be found at the front of the park.Markham Meadows Campground is a peaceful place to camp, but there are definitely other things to do there as well. A few streams, creeks, and ponds give guests some scenic views and are great places to catch bass or other freshwater fish. The large pool by the front entrance is one of the most popular features in the park. Swimming and kayaking in Pete’s Pond is another way to beat the heat, and the on-site snack bar is convenient after a long day outside playing basketball or catching fish. While camping at Markham Meadows Campground, you can take advantage of additional amenities like an arcade, a game room, playscapes for little ones, a general store, weekend entertainment, and paddleboat rentals.
