This campground is a great spot for a peaceful and quiet getaway. Located right on the Natchaug River, most of the sites are on the stream, and there are a few swimming areas. The sites are large, with plenty of room, and some even have direct access to the river. The owners are attentive and friendly, and will do anything to make your stay pleasant. The store is limited, but has the basics, and the campground is closed the day after Columbus day each year. Weekday nights are very quiet, and the campground can get a bit crowded when it is full of people. Firewood is available for $20, good for two nights. There is also a playground and family bingo in the pavilion. Be sure to request a site that is not next to the main road, as traffic can be a bit loud. The electrical can be a bit unstable, so be prepared for brown-outs and power outages.

Peppertree Campground offers picturesque camping on the Natchaug River, directly across from the Natchaug state forest. They offer full hook-ups for RVs and tents are welcome. The campground is open from late-April to mid-October and offers daily, weekly, monthly, or seasonal rates. They have a variety of amenities and activities for families to enjoy.
