This rustic, hilly campground is nestled in the woods along Chamberlain pond and is perfect for those looking for a woodsy feel. The roads and sites are primarily a sandy gravel that is very clean to drive on, even in a downpour. The sites are wide but unlevel, and tree trimming is needed as the rig may scrape against branches when backing into place. There is no 50a service, no site dump, no wi-fi, and extra $ for cable, so the regular $40 rate is more appropriate for a holiday weekend. There is a grey water drain and a honey wagon, but no sewer hook up. The 50 acre pond has a variety of fish, no license needed and its catch and release. There is also a large blacktopped pad for listening to music, playing basketball, etc. The new owners are helpful, pleasant and keep up a good campground.

Chamberlain Lake Campground is located in the beautiful forests of northeast Connecticut. The campground is just outside the small town of Woodstock, which is known for its historically significant architecture as well as its large fairgrounds. Chamberlain Lake Campground is also within driving distance of many larger cities in New England, including Hartford, which is 45 minutes away, Providence, Rhode Island, which is one hour away, and Boston, which is 90 minutes ft drive away. Although the campground is very secluded, it is easy to enjoy the conveniences of the city as well.Campsites at Chamberlain Lake Campground come with water and electric hookups, and cable TV hookups are also available. There are modern restrooms, as well as a laundry facility with washers and dryers. There is a lake on site where campers can go fishing, boating, and swimming. The campground also offers canoe and rowboat rentals. In the center of Chamberlain Lake Campground, there are a playground, a horseshoe pit, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and an outdoor shuffleboard. There is also an indoor game and rec room, as well as a camp store where you can pick up basic supplies. This campground is very family-friendly, and pets are also allowed as long as they are leashed. While camping at Chamberlain Lake Campground, you can participate in events throughout the summer, including fishing derbies, horseshoe tournaments, live music, and more.
