Meeman Shelby Forest is a beautiful, wooded camping area. The park rangers are quite friendly and helpful, ready to help out in any situation. Sites are level, with a nice grassy area in the middle of the spoke. We had a great view of the lake. The park is located on an active military base, so you must have a valid military ID to enter. The campground is close to a commissary, NEX, and gas station, and there is a free laundry mat located behind Samuel Adams Pub. Our site was plenty big enough, and we had no issues with noise....
