Lathrop State Park is a beautiful park with plenty of natural beauty and amenities. Its a large campsite with lots of space to spread out. All the sites were paved and pull-through, but some may require leveling. The cost may seem a little expensive for camping and parking fee. This campground is located just north of Walsenburg at the edge of town, but in the country. It is a Mom & Pop Operation and the owners live on the property. It is good for an overnight stop, but not suitable for an extended stay. The 50 amp service is marginally level, and there is free WiFi.
